Middletown NJ

Middletown Township of New Jersey is centrally located in beautiful Monmouth County. Historically known as one of the oldest settlements in the state, the township is synonymous with exit 114 on the Garden State Parkway and to a lesser degree on the south end of the municipality, at exit 109 (Red Bank) and Routes 35 and 36.

Middletown Township is expansive, encompassing approximately 60 square miles, of which just over 30% is comprised of water. The southern portion of Middletown is linked to Gateway National Recreation Area and parts of that region are commonly referred to by residents as Sandy Hook and the Raritan Bayshore coastline. Other areas such as Locust, Leonardo, Lincroft, and Navesink are also considered to be a part of the township. At last count, Middletown is home to roughly over 72,000 residents.
